Bill Ressl Cachets (1977 - 1982)
In my early years my father was a printer - one could say I grew up with printers ink running in my veins. As a young child I enjoyed going to the old Graphic Arts Expos at McCormick Place in Chicago. I was invited to create my first, first day cover by a stamp collector friend Earl Wellman from Brookfield, Illinois, USA. My Dad taught me to strip negatives and burn metal plates as well as run the old faithful brownie Multilith 1250 offset press - I was on my way to designing a number of Bill Ressl Cachets that I sold to first day cover collectors. Many of my first day covers are now available from private sellers on eBay and other marketplaces.
