Participating in a church community can be life changing - and for sure "church shopping" can be a bit scary, daunting, and enjoyable all at once. We know - we've been there, done that.
There are literally thousands of different church communities to explore. Each is unique and has a different focus, theology, as well as way of being and doing church.
Our hope is that you take the time to go "church shopping" and find a church that will embrace you for who you are and where you can grow together with others on your spiritual journey.

Where to Begin?

There is no right or wrong way of church shopping. Start at a church down the street (like we did many years ago) or use the links below to find a mainline Protestant church in your area - but remember there are many other church options if these do not fit your church needs. We simply provide the mainline Protestant links because we are Ordained Ministers in the United Church of Christ (UCC) and part of the historic mainline Protestant church tradition in the United States. That tradition offers a wide experience of doing and being church with contrasting historic foundations, theological understandings, and polity (the way the collective identity is lived).
